Abuma Manufacturing was instrumental in creating the Canadian Veterans Memorial Carillon Liberation Sculpture in 2006, located in Victoria Park, London, Ontario. This memorial, a gift from the government of the Netherlands to honor Canada’s role in liberating the Dutch during World War II, was a project close to founder Jan Maarschalkerweerd’s heart. While the bells were cast in the Netherlands, the engineering and fabrication of the stainless steel structure were led by Abuma. Every employee involved in the project has their name or initials inscribed on the sculpture—a testament to the pride and dedication of the Abuma team.
